I’d like to introduce you to two new wines:
First a wine that pairs perfectly with our food…
Madrone Mountain’s Starthistle Cuvée 2008
Aromas of lime blossom and carambola (starfruit); on the palate lively citrus, green apple and mint.; finish brings up minerals and piercing acids that clean the palate. Overall: refreshing, not cloying; bright.
An artisinal blend of Riesling, Huxelrebe, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc, this boutique wine is a lovely, mysterious, refreshing, just a touch sweet addition to our bottle offerings. Almost impossible to find in stores, it’s a steal at $25/bottle, that’s four dollars cheaper than you can get it online.
Secondly there’s Purple Hands
Texturally silky and creamy, the raspberry red fruit medley dance across a chocolate backbone finishing in dark fruit, red licorice and anise lingering on a caramel periphery.
Produced by Cody Wright, the son of well known Willamette Valley Pinot producer Ken Wright, this is jammy blend of Pinot, Cab, Syrah, and Merlot. A great wine for those who want lush fruit and instant drinkability.
